Den Haag

The Hague is the capital of the province of South Holland and, with 565,701 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2024), the third-largest municipality in the Netherlands, after Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Although The Hague is not the capital of the Netherlands—that title belongs to Amsterdam—it is the seat of government and, in many respects, functions as the nation’s capital.
